The chair called the meeting to order at 8:02 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Zaffirini assumed the chair.

Senator Ogden resumed the chair.
At 12:08 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until 12:50 p.m. Without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Zaffirini reconvened the Committee at 12:50 p.m.

Senator Ogden resumed the chair.
Testimony on the Department of Criminal Justice continued.
Senator Ogden announced that the Article V agencies that did not provide testimony would be moved to a later hearing agenda. Without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Ogden moved that SB 1 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business, at 5:45 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until 9:00 a.m., February 5, 2007. Without objection, it was so ordered.
