Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Finance Subcommittee on Property Appraisal and Revenue Caps was held on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Senator Tommy Williams, Chair		MEMBERS ABSENT: Senator Bob Deuell

Senator Williams called the meeting to order at 11:07 a.m.  The following business was transacted: 

 

The roll was called, and a quorum was established.

 

Senator Hinjosa assumed the chair.

 

Senator Williams made opening remarks, and laid out the interim report recommendations to the Subcommittee.

 

Senator Eltife moved adoption of a technical correction to the Executive Summary of the interim report recommendations; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Williams resumed laying out the interim report recommendations.

 

Senator Hinojosa recognized Subcommittee members for comments and discussion.

 

Senator Williams moved adoption of the Subcommittee interim report recommendations as presented and amended.  The motion carried with a record vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. 

 

Senator Williams resumed the chair.

 

There being no further business, at 11:16 a.m. Senator Williams moved that the Subcommittee stand adjourned.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
