Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Government Organization was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, in the Betty King Committee Hearing Room, 2E.20, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m.  The following business was transacted: 

Senator Kirk Watson was present for the hearing.

 

The Chair called Panel 1 to provide invited testimony regarding the interim charge relating to opportunities to maximize the impact and further the mission of State Energy Conservation Office (SECO). See attached list.

 

The Chair called Panel 2 to provide invited testimony regarding the interim charge relating to high performance building standards. See attached list.

 

The Chair called the following individuals to provide public testimony on the interim charge relating to high performance building standards. See attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 11:28 a.m. Senator Ellis moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
