Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on State Affairs was held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.030.

A joint hearing of the Senate Committee on State Affairs and Senate Finance Committee was held.  Chairmen Duncan and Ogden shared presiding duties.

 

Senator Ogden called the Finance Committee to order at 10:00 a.m.  Senator Duncan called the State Affairs Committee to order at 10:00 a.m. 

 

The roll was called for the Finance Committee, and a quorum was established.

Senator Ogden laid out revised Senate Finance Committee Interim Rules.  Senator Shapiro moved adoption of the rules as presented; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The Committee heard invited and public testimony regarding the State Trust Funds Joint Interim Charge.  Witnesses testifying and registering on the subject are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 3:36 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Senate Finance Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
