Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Criminal Justice was held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in E1.030, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The Senate Committee on Criminal Justice, the Joint Committee on the Operation and Management of the Texas Youth Commission, and the House Committee on Corrections met to hear public testimony on the Texas Youth Commission. 

 

Public testimony was taken.  Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.  The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.   

 

There being no further business, at 11:06 p.m. the chair moved that the Committee stand adjourned subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
