Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rules 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Subcommittee on Base Realignment and Closure was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Senator Shapleigh's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

As a matter of pending business, the chair laid out SB 1237. 

 

Senator Harris moved that SB 1237 be reported favorably to the full Senate committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. 

 

As a matter of pending business, the chair laid out SB 1743.

 

Senator Harris moved that SB 1743 be reported favorably to the full Senate committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. 

 

As a matter of pending business, the chair laid out SB 1746.

 

Senator Harris moved that SB 1746 be reported favorably to the full Senate committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. 

 

As a matter of pending business, the chair laid out SB 1956.

 

Senator Harris moved that SB 1956 be reported favorably to the full Senate committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. 

 

There being no further business, at 12:05 p.m. Senator Shapleigh moved that the Subcommittee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
