Pursuant to HCR 70, a public hearing of the Committee on Public School Accountability, Select was held on Monday, February 18, 2008, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:08 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Senator Shapiro, Representative Eissler, and appointed members made opening remarks to the Committee.

Representative Eissler moved adoption of the committee rules; without objection, it was so ordered.   

Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list. 

At 11:10 a.m. Representative Eissler assumed the chair.  

At 11:23 a.m. Senator Shapiro resumed the chair.

At 12:37 p.m. Representative Eissler assumed the chair.

At 1:02 p.m. Senator Shapiro resumed the chair.

The chair moved that the invited testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.   

There being no further business, at 3:48 p.m. Senator Shapiro moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
