Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Joint Committee on Oversight of Medicaid Reform was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.028, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Representative Delisi moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on February 20, 2008; without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

The chair called representatives of the Health and Human Services Commission to provide invited testimony on the Medicaid waiver status (see attached list).

 

At 10:02 a.m. Representative Delisi assumed the chair. 

 

There being no further business, at 10:14 a.m. Representative Delisi moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
