Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18 and pursuant to a notice posted on March 23, 2007 and a revision on March 28, 2007 by the House, a public hearing of the Joint Committee on Operation & Management of the Texas Youth Commission was held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in E1.030 at Austin, Texas.

Senator Whitmire called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The Senate Committee on Criminal Justice, the Joint Committee on the Operation and Management of the Texas Youth Commission, and the House Committee on Corrections met to hear public testimony on the Texas Youth Commission.

 

Public testimony was taken.  Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.  The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.   

 

There being no further business, at 11:06 p.m. Representative Madden moved that the Committee be adjourned. Without objection, it was so ordered.
