AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
County parks are a vital resource enjoyed by all Texans.
It is essential to the continued public enjoyment of these parks that they be enhanced through a statewide program of beautification and improvement.
Litter abatement, landscaping, the installation of lighting, the installation of directional and educational signs, and other similar measures would ensure that present and future generations share in the recreational benefits of county parks.
RESOLVED
That the Legislature of the State of Texas hereby request that the lieutenant governor and the speaker of the house of representatives authorize a joint interim study on the benefits of establishing a statewide county park beautification and improvement program.
