R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Harold and Mae Ervin of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 2, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Harold Ervin and the former Mae Young were united in |
|
|
matrimony on that special day in 1949, and through the years, they |
|
|
have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer |
|
|
with the addition of three children, Debbie, Harold, and Duane, as |
|
|
well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |
|
|
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
|
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Harold and Mae |
|
|
Ervin on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ervin as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
