R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned more
  than six decades, W. J. and Lila Roberson of Midland celebrated
  their 65th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2009; and
         WHEREAS, "Robby" and Lila Roberson exchanged the vows of
  matrimony in Vivian, Louisiana, on that special day in 1944, and
  over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a
  devoted life partner; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Roberson count among their blessings a
  fine family that includes two daughters, Elaine Sullivan and Linda
  White, and three sons, Glenn, Mark, and Robert Roberson, as well as
  15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, with whom they
  treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
         WHEREAS, Highly respected in their community, Mr. and Mrs.
  Roberson are both retired from Mobil Oil Company and enjoy
  participating in the activities of the Mobil club; in addition,
  they are valued members of Crestview Baptist Church, where they
  take part in numerous programs; and
         WHEREAS, Robby and Lila Roberson can savor a wealth of
  cherished family memories, and their 65 years of abiding love and
  affection place them among an exceptional group of men and women who
  can claim such a lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Robby and Lila
  Roberson on the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary and
  extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Roberson as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
