R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Shelly and Randall Hicks of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on April 14, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Randall Maloy Hicks and the former Shelly Denise |
|
|
Langley were united in matrimony at Kelview Heights Baptist Church |
|
|
in Midland in 1979; through the years, they have nurtured a |
|
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of two children, Michael Hicks and Shandi Williams and her |
|
|
husband, Stephen, and five grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna, and |
|
|
Brailey Hicks and Landry and Matthew Williams; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hicks is employed by Well Flow and works in |
|
|
Dubai, while Mrs. Hicks is a homemaker; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Though much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
three decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Shelly and |
|
|
Randy Hicks on their 30th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hicks as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
