R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Charles and Sandra Bolinger of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 2, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bolinger were united in matrimony at |
|
|
Shiloh Methodist Church in San Angelo, Texas, in 1959, and made |
|
|
their home in Pecos until 1984, when they moved to Midland; through |
|
|
the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been |
|
|
made even richer with the addition of three children, Lisa Dickson, |
|
|
Kaye Bolinger, and Wesley Bolinger, as well as seven grandchildren |
|
|
and two great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of the community, Mrs. Bolinger |
|
|
taught in the Midland Independent School District until her |
|
|
retirement; Mr. Bolinger is also retired, having been employed by |
|
|
the Texas Department of Public Safety and by Midland County; today, |
|
|
they enjoy such activities as traveling with their cherished |
|
|
family; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Charles and |
|
|
Sandra Bolinger on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary |
|
|
and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bolinger as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
