R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Marion and Patsy Causey of Midland |
|
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on May 30, 2009; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Marion Causey and the former Patsy Terrell were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1959, at a ceremony held at First Baptist |
|
|
Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, they have been blessed with a |
|
|
treasured family that includes two children and their spouses, Mark |
|
|
and Deanne Causey and Gary and Ginger Causey, as well as four |
|
|
grandchildren, Jordan, Jared, Alex, and Travis, with whom they |
|
|
enjoy spending the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Causey is |
|
|
president of MEC Petroleum Corporation of Midland and Mrs. Causey |
|
|
is a homemaker; they are congregants of First Baptist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The half-century of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. |
|
|
Causey have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love |
|
|
and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all |
|
|
who know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Marion and |
|
|
Patsy Causey on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Causey as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
