R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Bennie Cornutt was named the Man of the Year at the |
|
|
Gladewater Chamber of Commerce annual banquet in April 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Cornutt |
|
|
graduated from Texas A&M University, and he has lived in Gladewater |
|
|
since 1993; he previously operated B&B Antiques, and today, he and |
|
|
his wife, Betty, own two local establishments, the Antique Capitol |
|
|
RV Park and Linda's Place; in addition to managing their |
|
|
businesses, Mr. and Mrs. Cornutt take great pleasure in spending |
|
|
time with their three children, six grandchildren, and three |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Actively engaged in various civic endeavors, Mr. |
|
|
Cornutt was among the original Main Street directors, and he is on |
|
|
the board of the Gladewater Economic Development Corporation; he is |
|
|
committed to working with his fellow citizens to ensure a bright |
|
|
future for Gladewater; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bennie Cornutt has given freely of his time and |
|
|
talents for the benefit of his community, and he has garnered the |
|
|
lasting respect and appreciation of all who know him; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Bennie |
|
|
Cornutt on being named the Man of the Year by the Gladewater Chamber |
|
|
of Commerce and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Cornutt as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
