R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Gloria M. Turner and Robert L. Turner, Jr., of
  Pittsburg have received the 2008 John M. Holman Museum Excellence
  Award from the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Center and Museum;
  and
         WHEREAS, The Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Center and Museum
  in Pittsburg showcases the rich history and culture of Northeast
  Texas; the museum's two sites feature a vintage railroad depot, a
  restored farmstead, and a replica of the Ezekiel Airship, an early
  attempt at an aircraft by a Texas inventor; and
         WHEREAS, Since 2005, the John M. Holman Museum Excellence
  Award has honored volunteers for their exemplary service to the
  museum, and Mr. and Mrs. Turner are truly deserving recipients of
  the honor; and
         WHEREAS, Bob and Gloria Turner have dedicated themselves to
  the work and mission of the museum, and their continuing commitment
  and hard work are contributing immeasurably to the institution's
  success; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Gloria
  M. Turner and Robert L. Turner, Jr., for receiving the John
  M. Holman Museum Excellence Award and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Turner as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
