R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Larry Nelson was named the 2007 |
|
|
Firefighter of the Year by the Val Verde County Rural Volunteer Fire |
|
|
Department; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the Val Verde County Rural VFD presents |
|
|
this award to a volunteer who has gone above and beyond the call of |
|
|
duty; a truly deserving recipient, Lieutenant Nelson has |
|
|
demonstrated exceptional ability and dedication throughout his |
|
|
tenure; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to his service with the Val Verde County |
|
|
Rural Volunteer Fire Department, this esteemed Texan has shared his |
|
|
time with the Cienegas and Rough Canyon Fire Stations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his exemplary performance as a member of the |
|
|
Val Verde County Rural VFD, Lieutenant Nelson serves as an |
|
|
inspiration to his fellow firefighters, and his outstanding efforts |
|
|
have helped make his community an even safer place in which to live, |
|
|
work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Larry Nelson |
|
|
on being named the 2007 Val Verde County Rural Volunteer Fire |
|
|
Department Firefighter of the Year and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success in his public service duties; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Lieutenant Nelson as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
