R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Judy Brown is concluding more than 32 years of
  exceptional service to the Lone Star State with her retirement from
  the Texas Department of Public Safety; and
         WHEREAS, The chief administrator for the Texas driver license
  program, Ms. Brown has ably overseen nearly 1,800 employees in 300
  locations; she is known for her decisive, straightforward, and
  personable management style, and her dedicated efforts have earned
  her the respect of her staff and coworkers; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Brown is a leader in her profession, and in
  addition to her membership on the international board of the
  American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, she has
  served the organization as secretary of Region II and as chair of
  the Real ID Steering Committee; a graduate of Texas State
  University, she earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice in
  1980; and
         WHEREAS, Judy Brown has diligently worked to further the
  mission of her agency, and her efforts have distinguished her as an
  exemplary public employee whose talents will surely be missed by
  her colleagues; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Judy Brown on
  her retirement from the Texas Department of Public Safety and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for happiness and success in all
  her future endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
