R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Reed Hilary Ellis Johnson celebrated a significant |
|
|
milestone in his life on May 29, 2009, when he graduated from |
|
|
Westlake High School in Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A member of the football team for three years, Mr. |
|
|
Johnson was named the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Athlete of |
|
|
the Year in 2008; he plans to pursue a degree in business at the |
|
|
University of Arizona; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson enjoys the love and support of his |
|
|
parents, Gordon and Pam Johnson, and his grandmothers, Judy Johnson |
|
|
and Joyce Watson; moreover, the accomplishments of his grandfather, |
|
|
the late Robert E. Johnson, Sr., or "Big Daddy," have served as an |
|
|
inspiration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Reed Johnson is an outstanding young Texan, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to recognize him as he prepares to embark on an |
|
|
exciting new chapter in his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Reed Hilary |
|
|
Ellis Johnson on his graduation from Westlake High School and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for success in all his future |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Johnson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
