H.R. No. 60
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jason John Goodwin of Boy Scouts of America Troop
  No. 38 has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment
  truly merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
  honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
  scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
  criteria, Mr. Goodwin earned the requisite 21 merit badges and, for
  his Eagle Scout project, refinished a walking and cycling trail at
  Canyon Lake and repaired a bridge; and
         WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
  leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the
  respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the
  highest rank that scouting offers; a recent graduate of Judson High
  School in Converse, where he was a member of the National Honor
  Society, he plans to study physical therapy at Texas Lutheran
  University; he has further distinguished himself as a talented
  athlete who plays football, soccer, and golf; and
         WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Goodwin's dedication to excellence and
  his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
  to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
  pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Jason John
  Goodwin on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Goodwin as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
