R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Anita |
|
Rhea Newman Roach of Frisco, who died on June 25, 2009, at the age of |
|
74; and |
|
WHEREAS, Anita Newman was born in Frisco on December 1, 1934, |
|
to Opal and Raymond Earl "Boose" Newman; the family moved to |
|
Freeport while she was in high school, but she considered Frisco |
|
home and prevailed in her insistence that her high school diploma be |
|
signed by the superintendent of the Frisco school district; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Roach worked for many years as an educator, and |
|
she retired from the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District |
|
in Houston; and |
|
WHEREAS, Married on Valentine's Day in 2002 to Sam Roach, |
|
Mrs. Roach had an enthusiasm for life and new experiences; she |
|
enjoyed working with her plants and traveling, and she was a loyal |
|
and devoted friend; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although her death has brought great sorrow to her |
|
loved ones, Anita Roach has left behind many fond memories that they |
|
will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
|
Anita Rhea Newman Roach and extend sincere condolences to her |
|
family: to her husband, Sam Roach; to her daughters, Christa |
|
Childres and Amanda Foytik and her husband, Donny; to her |
|
grandchildren, Brandy and Cory Foytik; to her siblings, Wanda |
|
Blumenreich, Earlene Jett, and Coy Newman; and to her other |
|
relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Anita Rhea |
|
Newman Roach. |
