R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Mary Bernadete Rendon Arellano of |
|
Corpus Christi were deeply saddened by her tragic passing on June |
|
24, 2009, at the age of 56; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on September 18, 1952, in San Antonio, the |
|
former Mary Rendon was the daughter of Luis and Guadalupe Rendon and |
|
enjoyed the companionship of a sister and eight brothers, including |
|
twins Richard "Ricky" and Roland "Bobby" Rendon, who preceded her |
|
in death; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Arellano delighted in her roles as a mother and |
|
grandmother and was always close to her siblings and extended |
|
family members; and |
|
WHEREAS, An active congregant of Solid Rock Worship Center, |
|
Ms. Arellano shared her time with the children's ministry and |
|
Raven's Nest Food Pantry; further, she volunteered with Corpus |
|
Christi Metro Ministries and in behalf of numerous Democratic |
|
candidates locally and those seeking office on the national level; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mary Arellano lived a caring and purposeful life, |
|
and she leaves behind memories that will forever be treasured by all |
|
who held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
|
Mary Bernadete Rendon Arellano and extend sincere condolences to |
|
the members of her family: to her children, Janie, Ursula "Mimi," |
|
Lourdes "Lulu," Isaias, Carlos, and Joseph; to her sister, Roxanna, |
|
and her brothers, Luis, Florencio, Gustavo, Guadalupe, Miguel, and |
|
George; and to her other relatives and host of friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary |
|
Bernadete Rendon Arellano. |
