R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his outstanding service as legislative |
|
|
director, Rogelio Ernesto Chanes has provided valuable support to |
|
|
the office of State Representative Tara Rios Ybarra during the 81st |
|
|
Texas Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of the session, Mr. Chanes has |
|
|
brought a high level of dedication, enthusiasm, and care to each of |
|
|
his tasks; consistently going above and beyond the call of duty in |
|
|
his post, he has demonstrated the ability to respond quickly and |
|
|
effectively to the challenges that arise daily in the demanding |
|
|
office environment of an elected official; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Chanes had previously gained public service |
|
|
experience as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Ruth Jones McClendon during the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, and the knowledge he gained in that assignment has |
|
|
assisted him in his efforts to help execute Representative Rios |
|
|
Ybarra's legislative agenda; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to his service as a staff member with |
|
|
state representatives, Mr. Chanes draws on years of campaign |
|
|
experience; during 2008, he worked for President Barack Obama's |
|
|
primary and general election campaigns, traveling through numerous |
|
|
U.S. states and Puerto Rico to energize the electorate and urge them |
|
|
out to vote; in addition, Mr. Chanes has campaigned for a half-dozen |
|
|
other candidates for elected office, including State |
|
|
Representatives Rios Ybarra and Eddie Lucio III and Congressman |
|
|
Solomon P. Ortiz, Jr.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through countless hours of hard work, Rogelio Chanes |
|
|
has performed his duties as legislative director with skill and |
|
|
determination, and his contributions have been of great benefit to |
|
|
the constituents of House District 43 and residents throughout the |
|
|
State of Texas; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Rogelio Ernesto |
|
|
Chanes for his exemplary service as legislative director in the |
|
|
office of State Representative Tara Rios Ybarra and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Chanes as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
