R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
recognize Leo Estrada for his advocacy efforts and outstanding |
|
contributions to the Corpus Christi and Robstown communities; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mr. Estrada was born |
|
on September 4, 1940, in Robstown; he went on to work in the public |
|
sector, and he retired as a bailiff in the Nueces County Court; and |
|
WHEREAS, In addition to his career and family |
|
responsibilities, Mr. Estrada has dedicated himself to promoting |
|
active political participation among area citizens, encouraging |
|
them to learn about the candidates and the voting process and to let |
|
their voices be heard; Mr. Estrada has been involved in numerous |
|
grassroots endeavors, and he has participated in the work of |
|
various political organizations, including the Tejano Democrats, |
|
for which he is a founding member; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his many achievements, Leo Estrada has set |
|
an inspiring example of civic responsibility and engagement, and he |
|
has garnered the lasting respect and appreciation of countless |
|
individuals in his hometown region and beyond; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Leo Estrada for his |
|
advocacy efforts and contributions in behalf of the residents of |
|
Corpus Christi and Robstown and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Estrada as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
