R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
  recognize Leo Estrada for his advocacy efforts and outstanding
  contributions to the Corpus Christi and Robstown communities; and
         WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mr. Estrada was born
  on September 4, 1940, in Robstown; he went on to work in the public
  sector, and he retired as a bailiff in the Nueces County Court; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to his career and family
  responsibilities, Mr. Estrada has dedicated himself to promoting
  active political participation among area citizens, encouraging
  them to learn about the candidates and the voting process and to let
  their voices be heard; Mr. Estrada has been involved in numerous
  grassroots endeavors, and he has participated in the work of
  various political organizations, including the Tejano Democrats,
  for which he is a founding member; and
         WHEREAS, Through his many achievements, Leo Estrada has set
  an inspiring example of civic responsibility and engagement, and he
  has garnered the lasting respect and appreciation of countless
  individuals in his hometown region and beyond; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Leo Estrada for his
  advocacy efforts and contributions in behalf of the residents of
  Corpus Christi and Robstown and extend to him sincere best wishes
  for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Estrada as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
