CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, County parks are a vital resource enjoyed by all |
|
|
Texans; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, It is essential to the continued public enjoyment of |
|
|
these parks that they be enhanced through a statewide program of |
|
|
beautification and improvement; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Litter abatement, landscaping, the installation of |
|
|
lighting, the installation of directional and educational signs, |
|
|
and other similar measures would ensure that present and future |
|
|
generations share in the recreational benefits of county parks; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Legislature of the State of Texas hereby |
|
|
request that the lieutenant governor and the speaker of the house of |
|
|
representatives authorize a joint interim study on the benefits of |
|
|
establishing a statewide county park beautification and |
|
|
improvement program. |
