SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 11
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Christy Bertolino, who is stepping down from her |
|
|
position as district director for Senator Kel Seliger after |
|
|
nearly five years of outstanding service to the citizens of |
|
|
Senate District 31 and our state; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of West Texas A&M University, Christy |
|
|
has brought a wealth of experience and dedication to her position |
|
|
as Senator Seliger's district director; she is a veteran of the |
|
|
communications industry whose commitment to good community |
|
|
relations has made her an invaluable addition to state |
|
|
government; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her career as a public servant, |
|
|
Christy has been noted for her superior organizational skills and |
|
|
her attention to the details of the daily operation of a Senate |
|
|
district office; she has coordinated all media relations for the |
|
|
district, served as the senator's representative at numerous |
|
|
events, and communicated effectively to the public the details of |
|
|
state issues and policies; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Christy has handled her |
|
|
many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and |
|
|
dedication; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and |
|
|
admired by her colleagues and by the citizens of Senate District |
|
|
31 alike, and her presence in the office of Senator Seliger will |
|
|
be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Christy |
|
|
Bertolino on her exceptional service to Senator Kel Seliger, the |
|
|
citizens of Senate District 31, and our state, and extend to her |
|
|
best wishes for continued success in all her future endeavors; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
