SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 21

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Jean Moffett Dendy for her long and dedicated service to Senator Rodney Ellis and to the Texas Senate; and

WHEREAS, Jean gave her utmost as special assistant and administrator in the office of Senator Ellis for approximately six years; she ably and consistently ensured the smooth and efficient operation of the senator's capitol office and trained and supervised support staff; and

WHEREAS, Highly respected by her colleagues, Jean possesses unique leadership and organizational skills, and she handled her many responsibilities with graciousness and humor; her colleagues will deeply miss her presence, her wisdom, and her wise counsel; and

WHEREAS, Jean has taken on a new challenge as office manager for Senator Wendy Davis of Fort Worth; her special knowledge of office management and her demonstrated ability to motivate, direct, and support others will serve her well in her new office; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Jean Moffett Dendy for her many years of dedicated service and her commitment to her responsibilities in state government and wish her well in her new position; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
