	Amend CSHB 3 (house committee report) on page 15, line 12, 
immediately following added Section 28.027(a), Education Code, by 
inserting the following:

A career and technical course approved under this subsection must 
cover the essential knowledge and skills identified under Section 
28.002 for the subject for which the career and technical course is 
offered as an alternative.  A student completing a career and 
technical course approved under this subsection must be 
administered any end-of-course assessment instrument required for 
the course for which the career and technical course is offered as 
an alternative.
