Amend Floor Amendment No. 2 by Duncan to CSHB 51 by adding the 
following appropriately numbered SECTIONS to the amendment and 
renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the amendment accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Subsection (a), Section 96.703, Education 
Code, is amended to read as follows:
	(a)  In the city of Beaumont, the [The] board shall establish 
and maintain a lower-division institution of higher education [an 
educational center of Lamar University] as a separate 
degree-granting institution to be known as Lamar Institute of 
Technology.
	SECTION ____.  Subsection (c), Section 96.703, Education 
Code, is repealed.
