Amend CSHB 300 by inserting the following 
appropriately-numbered SECTION:  
	SECTION ____. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation 
Code, is amended by adding Section 504.4011 to read as follows:
	Sec. 504.4011. ELECTED MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS.  (a)  The 
department shall issue specially designed license plates for a 
passenger car or light truck owned by an elected person who is a 
member of the governing body of a municipality.
	(b) Licence plates issued under this section must include the 
words "City Official."
	(c) A person may be issued three sets of license plates under 
this section.
