Amend CSHB 394 as follows:                                                   
	(1)  On page 1, line 11, strike "Subsections (k) and (l)" and 
substitute "Subsections (k), (l), and (m)".
	(2)  On page 1, immediately following line 24, insert the 
following:         
	(m)  The governor is encouraged to consider making grants 
from the fund to support the establishment and expansion of small 
businesses in this state that have as their primary purpose the 
provision of energy derived from renewable energy technology, as 
defined by Section 39.904(d), Utilities Code.
