Amend CSHB 972 (house committee printing) as follows:                        
	(1)  On page 1, lines 14 through 16, strike "over a 
telephone, through a salesperson, or through a written 
communication mailed, e-mailed, or otherwise delivered,".
	(2)  On page 1, line 24 through page 2, line 2, strike "on any 
document, advertisement, business card, or logo provided by the 
individual to a consumer as part of an effort to solicit business 
form the consumer" and substitute "and the individual's signature 
on any document evidencing the sale or any service agreement or 
service contract that is provided by the individual to the 
consumer".
	(3)  On page 2, lines 6 and 7, strike "on any document, 
advertisement, business card, or logo provided by the individual to 
a consumer as part of an effort to solicit business from the 
consumer" and substitute "and the individual's signature on the 
document evidencing the sale or the service agreement or service 
contract that is provided by the individual to the consumer".
