Amend CSHB 1243 (Senate committee printing), in SECTION 4 
of the bill, in amended Section 39.916(j), Utilities Code (page 3, 
line 31), between the period and "A distributed", by inserting "An 
electric cooperative may calculate avoided cost in accordance with 
commission rules or, at the option of the electric cooperative, as 
the sum of the average wholesale fuel and energy costs, expressed in 
cents per kilowatt hour, on the wholesale power bill for the 
applicable billing period."
