Amend CSHB 2225 as follows:                                                  
	(1)  On page 1, line 23, strike "six" and substitute "four".                   
	(2)  On page 2, strike lines 6 and 7.                                          
	(3)  On page 2, line 8, strike "(E)" and substitute "(C)".                     
	(4)  On page 2, line 10, strike "(F)" and substitute "(D)".                    
	(5)  On page 2, strike lines 12-16 and substitute the 
following:             
		(2)  five members appointed by the governor who have 
expertise in or a demonstrated commitment to adoption issues.
	(6)  On page 2, between lines 16 and 17, insert the 
following:               
	(c)  The adoption review committee shall meet at least 
quarterly.            
	(7)  On page 2, line 17, strike "(c)" and substitute "(d)".                    
	(8)  Add the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the 
bill and renumber subsequent SECTIONS of the bill as appropriate:
	SECTION ____.  Not later than December 1, 2009, the 
executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission 
and the governor shall appoint the members of the adoption review 
committee and the adoption review committee shall begin performing 
its duties as provided by this Act.
