Amend CSHB 2511 (house committee printing) by adding the 
following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and 
renumbering subsequent SECTIONS accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Section 253.0351, Election Code, is amended 
by adding Subsection (a-1) and amending Subsection (b) to read as 
follows:
	(a-1)  A candidate or officeholder may:                                 
		(1)  deposit the candidate's or officeholder's personal 
funds in one or more accounts in which political contributions are 
deposited;
		(2)  report the amount deposited under Subdivision (1) 
as a loan; and
		(3)  reimburse those personal funds from political 
contributions in the amount of the reported loan.
	(b)  Section 253.035(h) applies if the person does not report 
an amount as a loan as authorized by Subsection (a) or (a-1).
