Amend CSHB 2962 by adding the following appropriately 
numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of 
the bill accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Section 32.024, Human Resources Code, is 
amended by adding Subsection (jj) to read as follows:
	(jj)  The department shall provide to a child who is a 
recipient of medical assistance a mental health screening through 
the early and periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment program 
following the child's initial determination of eligibility for 
medical assistance.  The screening must be conducted using an 
appropriate mental health screening tool, as determined by the 
child's health care provider.
