Amend CSHB 3097 (House committee printing) by adding the 
following Section to Part E, Article 2, of the bill and renumbering 
subsequent Sections of Part E accordingly:
	SECTION 2E.__.  Section 504.401(c), Transportation Code, is 
amended to read as follows:
	(c)  The license plates remain valid until December 31 of the
[each] year in which the person to whom the plates were issued 
ceases to be a state official.
