Amend CSHB 3408 (House committee printing) by striking lines 
6-11 on page 1 and substituting the following:
	Sec. 122.0075.  PROVISION OF SERVICES BY CERTAIN COUNTIES.  
(a) As the county determines necessary to protect the public 
health, safety, and welfare, a county located on the Texas-Mexico 
border may provide health care services to a person in the county 
regardless of the person's income.  The county may provide funding 
for the health care services from the county treasury.
