System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	Amend CSSB 1 (house committee printing) as follows:                          
	(1)  Under the Article XI appropriations to the Texas 
Education Agency (pages XI-4 and XI-5), add the following 
appropriately numbered rider:
	____.  Appropriation:  Humanities Texas.  In addition to 
amounts otherwise appropriated by this Act, the sum of $1,000,000 
is appropriated out of the General Revenue Fund to the Texas 
Education Agency for each year of the 2010-2011 state fiscal 
biennium to be used for Humanities Texas for the purpose of 
supporting the teacher institute program targeting public school 
teachers in their first or second year of service in geographic 
areas of this state with low student achievement on state 
assessments.
	(2)  Adjust the Article III public education subtotal (page 
XI-6) and the grand total (page XI-19) accordingly.
