	Amend CSSB 1 (House committee printing) as follows:                          

(1)  Under the Article XI items, add the following 	appropriately numbered rider:
	____.  Research Involving Phytomedicine.  The National Center 
for Pharmaceutical Crops at the Arthur Temple College of Forestry 
and Agriculture, Stephen F. Austin State University, is 
appropriated $1,000,000 from the general revenue fund for the state 
fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2009, for the purpose of 
cancer research involving phytomedicine.
	(2)  Adjust the article totals accordingly.
