	Amend CSSB 1, as introduced, as follows:                                     
	(1) In ARTICLE 11 of the bill, insert a new Section, 
appropriately numbered, to read as follows:
	Sec.____. $100 million dollars shall be allocated to the 
Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for the purpose of 
providing matching grants for renewable energy research and 
development at institutions of higher education.
	(2) Renumber subsequent Sections of ARTICLE 11 of the bill 
appropriately.
