Amend CSSB 643 (house committee report) in SECTION 22 of the
bill, in added Section 48.007, Human Resources Code (page 49, line
19), between "responsibilities." and "The" insert the following:
During the negotiation of the memorandum of understanding,
the agencies shall jointly determine whether the forensic training
received by relevant staff of the Department of Family and
Protective Services is adequate. Specifically, the agencies shall
assess and, if necessary, develop a plan to enhance the ability of
department staff to identify and report incidences that constitute
a potential criminal offense.
