Amend CSSB 643 (Senate committee printing) as follows:                       
	(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Article 46B.014, Code 
of Criminal Procedure (page 1, line 17), strike "A" and substitute 
"Except as provided by Article 46B.073, a".
	(2)  Strike SECTIONS 2 and 3 of the bill (page 1, line 23, 
through page 1, line 40) and renumber subsequent SECTIONS of the 
bill accordingly.
