Amend CSSB 1164 as follows:                                                  
	(1)  In Subsection (c) of Section 411.2031, as added by 
SECTION 1 of the bill (On page 1, line 24, Senate committee 
printing), strike "Except as provided by Subsection (e)" and 
substitute "Except as otherwise provided by this section".
	(2)  Insert a new Subsection (f) to Section 411.2031, 
Government Code, as added by SECTION 1 of the bill (page 1, between 
the lines 42 and 43, Senate committee printing), to read as follows:
	"(f)  The governing board of an institution of higher 
education may establish rules, regulations, or other provisions 
prohibiting license holders from carrying handguns:
		(1)  on premises on which the alcoholic beverages are 
sold or served for on-premises consumption;
		(2)  on the premises of a hospital that is maintained or 
operated by the institution as an agency of this state;
		(3)  at any meeting of the governing board."
