Amend CSSB 1354 (Senate committee printing) by adding the 
following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and 
renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION __.  Section 1301.354, Occupations Code, is amended 
by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
	(b-1)  At the applicant's request, the board may credit an 
applicant under Subsection (b) with a number of hours determined by 
board rule against the number of hours of work experience required 
to take an examination if the applicant has received an associate of 
applied science degree from a plumbing technology program that:
		(1)  includes a combination of classroom and on-the-job 
training; and
		(2)  is approved by the board and the Texas Higher 
Education Coordinating Board.
