Amend CSSB 1830 (Senate committee report) as follows:                        
	(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, in amended Section 12.101(b), 
Education Code (page 1, line 19), strike "20" and substitute "10".
	(2)  In SECTION 2 of the bill, in added Section 12.1011(a), 
Education Code (page 1, lines 49-51), strike the last sentence of 
the subsection and substitute the following:

A charter granted under this section is not considered for purposes 
of the limit on the number of open-enrollment charter schools 
imposed by Section 12.101(b).
