Committee Report (Unamended)

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

The Texas Airport Directory is printed to provide aeronautical information for approximately 400 airports that are open to the public.  The purpose of removing the fee is to encourage more general aviation and safety.

Per the Comptroller of Public Accounts, this bill would have no significant fiscal impact on the state or units of local government.

House Bill 92 removes the fee charged for the Texas Airport Directory.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.
