AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

Currently, an architect in Texas has five days from the time architectural plans are finalized to submit the plans to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) for registration.  This close deadline is burdensome on industry and has resulted in architects being overly punished for not submitting their plans in a timely fashion.

H.B. 1055 increases, from five days to 20 days, the amount of time a person has to submit plans and specifications to TDLR.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
